How it works
Sealed Inside The Double-Glazed Unit
Uni-Blinds integral blinds are built into the cavity of the sealed unit before it ever reaches your home. The blind is enclosed by the glass on both sides.
Because the blind is permanently sealed within the cavity, it is protected from dust, dirt, moisture and damage for the life of the unit. There is no fabric to wash, no slats to wipe and no cords or chains beside the frame.
Control happens through the glass rather than around it — magnets, a cordless slider, or a motorised system, depending on the blind you choose. The seal and the integrity of the double-glazed unit are never broken.

Integral blinds come into their own wherever the glass itself moves, or where the panes are simply too large for a conventional blind.

On bifold and sliding doors a conventional blind has to be lifted out of the way every time you open up. Sealing the blind inside the glass removes that problem completely.

Venetian Or Pleated, Manual Or Powered
Uni-Blinds are available as Venetian blinds with tilting slats or as pleated blinds, with a choice of control systems. We will talk you through which suits your doors or windows.
Manual magnetic control
C system
A patented magnetic system for raising and tilting an integral Venetian blind. One set of magnets sits in the blind head rail inside the cavity, the other on the outer face of the internal glass, so the sealed unit is never compromised.
Cordless slider
SV system
A manually operated sliding Venetian or pleated blind with a single magnetic slider on a narrow guide at the edge of the unit. Raise, lower and tilt completely cord free.

S system
A manual pleated blind within a 20mm cavity, moved by a magnetic device that slides across the inner face of the glass.
Solar powered
W-Swipe system
A battery-operated motorised blind. The Venetian or pleated blind is raised or lowered from a control device on the frame or by remote, using long-life rechargeable batteries.
Motorised brushless
MB system
A brushless motor for raising, lowering and tilting integral Venetian or pleated blinds — the quietest and most refined of the powered options.
Choosing a blind
Not every control system suits every unit — cavity depth, pane size and whether the glass moves all affect what can be specified. Colours, slat finishes and available options are confirmed against the current Morley Glass range at the point of quotation.
